Only Bears (ISTP) play Hide & Seek in the Woods

The 'secret schizoid'

According to Ralph Klein[26] there are many fundamentally schizoid individuals who present with an engaging, interactive personality style which contradicts the timidity, reluctance, or avoidance of the external world and interpersonal relationships as emphasized by the DSM-IV and ICD-10 definitions of the schizoid personality. Klein classifies these individuals as secret schizoids[26] who present themselves as socially available, interested, engaged, and involved in interacting in the eyes of the observer, while at the same time, he or she is apart, emotionally withdrawn, and sequestered in a safe place in his or her own internal world. So, while withdrawnness or detachment from the outer world is a characteristic feature of schizoid pathology, it is sometimes overt and sometimes covert. While it is overt it matches the usual description of the schizoid personality offered in the DSM-IV. According to Klein, though, it is "just as often" a covert, hidden internal state of the patient in which what meets the objective eye may not be what is present in the subjective, internal world of the patient. Klein therefore cautions that one should not miss identifying the schizoid patient because one cannot see the patient’s withdrawnness through the patient’s defensive, compensatory, engaging interaction with external reality. Klein suggests that one need only ask the patient what his or her subjective experience is in order to detect the presence of the schizoid refusal of emotional intimacy.

Depends on type. Cougars are always ESTP (or ISFP pretending). Only baby Bears ISTP (usual jailbait) are OK for me. Grown up Bears are too grizzly. Mustang Sally is ESFJ.

Shepherd's Bush

Role playing is for middle of the road types. Both Low Life S and High Brow N distain such activity. Only ESFP and ISFP are experts at it. ESTP, ISTP, ENTP, INTP will tend to do for rewards. ISTP is the Shepherd's Bush Syndrome (London argot).

Solution Based Therapy

Solution focused brief therapy (SFBT), often referred to as simply 'solution focused therapy' or 'brief therapy', is a type of talking therapy that is based upon social constructionist philosophy. It focuses on what clients want to achieve through therapy rather than on the problem(s) that made them to seek help. The approach does not focus on the past, but instead, focuses on the present and future. The therapist/counselor uses respectful curiosity to invite the client to envision their preferred future and then therapist and client start attending to any moves towards it whether these are small increments or large changes. To support this, questions are asked about the client’s story, strengths and resources, and about exceptions to the problem.

Mausoleum UK

Mausoleum UK
The different types of INTP have different career choices.

I am a PNIT and the choices are

Literary Inventor (or something like that) This is about what I actually do (or did) but the jobs are few and far between and often unappreciated by the payers.
Ice Cream Vendor (or I suppose vendor for anything the public wants and is not too competitive)

Actually: Literary Stuntman, which might mean Literary Dwarf.

Actually = self actualisation (not a superfluous word)

My job (not well paid) is near the first one.

I will have to go out of my type to get work that pays enough in England. There is too much competition for the available jobs.

The NT types have a greater work choice.

I am frustrated. I can't get enough dosh. Not only that I have political opponents on the literary level from the Bombadiers who would burn all the books and lock up the scientists who might want to tell the truth, i.e. the Big Cats ESTP are building a Mausoleum UK
.

If you have financial backing and the right partner, a proprieter of a museum, public house, education facility would be a very good choice. This is ENTP mode at times, but it is very difficult because the Great British Public are bloody awkward. So are the financial backers who want a return for their investment and don't like risky enterprises. Most of the public will not appreciate what they get and just moan and some of them will be a nuisance.

Another choice is Librarian. It is a bit of a cop out, for retirement

Self actualization
Some type descriptions are unbelievably biased and stereotypical not to mention they commonly ascribe personal preferences and taste as part of personality. If you can dig through the fluff describtors and really study MBTI properly you can find some value in it. But it should not neccessarily be the end of self-actualization. Not to mention MBTI holds of no value if you are just going to use it to dictate your life in terms of work/love life/who you should socialize with etc.
Actually, I never think about self actualization and I thought this was a trait of ENFPs?

In Perseus theory it should be a trait of NFs.

Who is going to bring about this actualisation? The alcoholic woman married a publican, drank herself to death and sent the pub into bankruptcy.

Hormones and Ovulation

'Results of a recent study suggest that the birth control pill may alter the type of men women seek for in a partner.

Published in Trends in Ecology and Evolution, the research article titled "Does the Contraceptive Pill Alter Mate Choice In Humans" focuses on secondary effects of 40 years of widespread usage of the birth control pill, and finds that by altering hormonal cycles, the pill might have an effect on women's choice of mates.

According to Dr. Alexandra Alvergne and Dr. Virpi Lummaa of the University of Sheffield, co-authors of the study, women who are ovulating prefer men who are more masculine and "more genetically unrelated, while women who are not ovulating prefer guys who are more feminine and genetically more similar. Since the pill contains synthetic versions of the female hormones estrogen and progesterone which supress ovulation, women who take the pill might be less likely to be attracted to masculine men.

On the other hand, men, given a choice, will gravitate towards an ovulating female rather than a non-ovulating female. This coincides with the results of previous studies which showed that women are more attractive to men around the time of ovulation. Past studies have also shown that women's tastes in men change depending on the time of the month they are in related to their menstrual cycle. '

Sexual v. Partner Attraction
This is a question for everyone on the board, but, I being female, am particularly interested in heterosexual mens opinions on this subject. There are different ways one can be attracted to another.

What would you say the difference between attraction of a raw, sexual nature is towards women, and an attraction towards a woman that is more on the side of partnering, say, what you would look for in a "mate", "girlfriend", "wife" if you will. (assuming of course there is a difference, but I think there is)
Yeti was not Spanked enough in her Childhood

Benny Fish-head SFJ or the Abominable Snowman devised a plan to benefit his family/gang by sacrificing virgins to the Snow Leopard ESTP and when the tourists complained, selling or hiring out the virgins to their foreign rescuers.

Benny Volent NTJ got to hear about this and the Wolfman Boss ENTJ sent out the Dog Soldiers ISTJ to investigate. They got him on failing to pay the Death Duties on the Air Burials when he threw his elderly relatives off the mountains whilst still alive.

The moral of this story is that NTJ only care about the community at large and not the individuals comprising it. The Commander will torture his subjects for not toeing the party line.
You want to elect as Boss a NFJ who is both benevolent and beneficient with a rational partner.

Tony Blair is an Idealist ENFJ and Cherie Blair INTJ (possibly INTP?) Gordon Brown is ENTJ. Sarah Brown is a INFJ ?

These would both be best marriage matches under the Perseus System.

On the Perseus System the Best Advisor for Tony Blair would be an ENTP Visionary and the Best Advisor for Gordon Brown would be a Journalist ENFP.

The Code of Hammurabi (18th century BC short chronology) prescribes that

If a man has put a spell upon another man and it is not justified, he upon whom the spell is laid shall go to the holy river; into the holy river shall he plunge. If the holy river overcome him and he is drowned, the man who put the spell upon him shall take possession of his house. If the holy river declares him innocent and he remains unharmed the man who laid the spell shall be put to death. He that plunged into the river shall take possession of the house of him who laid the spell upon him.

But by using our inner chameleon, we are not really faking or acting, just really using a certain part of (very general) selves. There are certain things that require excessive use of certain parts of us, at which point I think it can become “faking. Basically, while being a chameleon is useful, acting is more deceitful.

Personally compared to the average person I am able to see right through most “fakers, or people who are able to fake for long periods at a time, which is why statistically I never find the actor types (or anyone else you can really get into a “role) attracted to me(cause they know it) - nor I to them. Exceptions of course are always present like with everything, but it is statistically true that I don’t bond well with these types of people (sorry for the stereotype if it offends anyone).

On a side note, even if I was in a play, I can’t memorize anything word for word, so id be pretty useless – unless maybe it was an improvisation act. But really I cant be bothered

Do any of you enjoy waitering? Any comments on "chameleonism vs. acting"? Anyone like acting in plays?

An Eagle INTP moving down to the feeding grounds has to develop strategies for his morph-change. I use a Turtle and hide inside my shell, sticking my neck out at great risk. If I was shell-less like a Chameleon I would wear a multi-coloured coat and change its camouflage XNTP. Actors are usually Performers ESTP. They fly just like Butterflies or Dragonflies.

Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
It is accepted that we are born with a temperament which quickly becomes a personality, one that will soon fall into an MBTI category. For most of us, certain functions just come naturally and others are more difficult; This is especially true for the more extreme personalities.

It is also accepted that as we age we begin to develop our inferior functions. Why this happens is a mystery, but the end result is what I consider a 'wise' person. These are older people who just exude a certain balance. They seem to have self actualized.

So, my question is that if we become too static in our MBTI, too proud and resistant to developing inferior functions, is that when we cease to develop? Do forums like this one which aim to build confidence actually stunt development?
Gaia

Gaia (pronounced /ˈɡeɪ.ə/ or /ˈɡaɪ.ə/; "land" or "earth", from the Ancient Greek Γαῖα; also Gæa or Gea (Koine and Modern Greek Γῆ)[1] is the primal Greek goddess personifying the Earth.

Gaia is a primordial and chthonic deity in the Ancient Greek pantheon and considered a Mother Goddess or Great Goddess.

Her equivalent in the Roman pantheon was Terra Mater.

Tom Thumb

Tom Thumb is a traditional hero in English folklore who is no bigger than his father's thumb.

Various allusions to Tom Thumb are included in sixteenth century works; in his Discovery of Witchcraft, Reginald Scot includes Tom Thumbe in a list of folkloric creatures such as witches and satyrs that nursemaids told their charges about until the children were frightened of their own shadows.[1]

Rational Thinking: Notes for Discussion
As I see it Ti is a filter for the information we receive, Ti takes the idea or information and analyzes it with skepticism comparing it with what we already know is truth so that we see if the new information fits the framework or not, it also analyzes it with pure logic, finding if the new idea/information contradicts itself or contradicts another axiom of logic.

But when a self proclaimed INTP is too stupid(lacking the intelligence to apply logic) or too ignorant (not having the means to compare the new information with previous known knowledge) to analyze something properly, then it's as if he didn't have Ti in the first place.

He may receive the information and accept it without doubting it for a second eliminating the purpose of Ti as a filter.

Then it doesn't matter if someone has the tendency to analyze everything, if there's no intelligence and knowledge, Ti doesn't work.

That's why Intelligence and Knowledge is a requirement for INTPs and no INTP can exist without it.
Very ingenious. Very INTJ. The Perseus 384 System does not demand that Thinking be the leading for process for INTPs. It may be so in practice, but this may not be true to type.

The above explanation does not explain the delay in processing information that the INTP often experiences. This I call the "adsorb to manifesto" delay as some input may not fit in the current manifest (called truth in the above message).

Perseus also correlates Thinking with the IQ Test, rather the basic type T allocation indicates the potential for thinking.
The Perseus system also equates Inutition with Knowledge or the potential to acquire knowledge.

My personality is a definite INTP or PNIT rather, but NT is not the leading process. I am either NP Questor or NP Psychedelic by natural type. Job roles may demand different behaviour.

The INTJ (NT leader) uses the "amazing" reductive method. He is not a TP Projector.

MBTI is one theory. The Perseus 384 System is another. I am stopping my theory and moving out into the real world.

In the real world the letters can be rearranged according to your personal cognitive ability to shape-shift and to become a player other than your true self (if you care to do so?). Another point to bear in mind, in the real world of relationships, business dealings, violence and warfare, the letters are not calculated to a statistical norm but in the context of your social environment in relation to the attributes of the Others.

In the high brow intellectual, business and political T (thinking) world, the general public may seem like (Feeling) IDiots, fornicating and gambling (throwing money away) and Blowing Their Minds.

Dialogue about Piggy

A new category called PITA sometimes known PITB. Actually an ISXP. The Pig in Perseus Modern Animism. Very common type. Sometimes called a male chauvinist ISXP (although it occurs almost as often in females). If he cannot be chauvinist he gets depressed. Don't expect Pigs to fly properly: flapping is all you get.

Tip to Others "Don't be a Piggy in the Middle". You will get into a pickle.

This means that the wife (ESTP) embarks on an affair in the erronous attempt to get the Piggy to pay attention to his responsibilities and making sure the sty in clean and he is not rolling about in the dirt. It is not a proper affair and the third party gets into a pickle. When the shock wears off the Piggy returns to type.

One thing is certain: unfaithfulness will not be a problem for you (INTPs get into this trouble a lot because that are not touchy-feely and the partner is missing something physical. Goats ESFJ variant are the worst for this.) and this way out is not available.

PS: There is no such thing as a perfect partner.

Zeitgeist (German pronunciation: [ˈtsaɪtɡaɪst] (Speaker Icon.svg listen)) is a German language expression (Zeit means "time," and Geist roughly translates to "spirit") referring to "the spirit of the times" and/or "the spirit of the age." The word Zeitgeist is used to describe the general cultural, intellectual, ethical, spiritual, and/or political climate within a nation or even specific groups, along with the general ambience, morals, and sociocultural direction or mood of an era (similar to the English word mainstream or trend). In German, the word has more layers of meaning than the English loanword; included in common understanding of the term is the allegation that Zeitgeist may only be observed for past events.

Ares Bloodlust

In Greek mythology, Ares (Ancient Greek: Ἄρης [árɛːs], Μodern Greek: Άρης [ˈaris]) is the son of Zeus and Hera. Though often referred to as the Olympian god of warfare, he is more accurately the god of bloodlust, or slaughter personified: "Ares is apparently an ancient abstract noun meaning throng of battle, war."

There are accounts of a son of Ares, Cycnus (Κύκνος) of Macedonia, who was so murderous that he tried to build a temple with the skulls and the bones of travelers. Heracles slaughtered this abominable monstrosity, engendering the wrath of Ares, whom Heracles wounded.

In Greek mythology, Thrax (by his name simply the quintessential Thracian) was regarded as one of the reputed sons of Ares.[5] In the Alcestis, Euripides mentions that one of the names of Ares himself was Thrax since he was regarded as the patron of Thrace (his golden or gilded shield was kept in his temple at Bistonia in Thrace).[6

Thracians were regarded as warlike, ferocious, and bloodthirsty.[24][25]

Thracians were seen as "barbarians" by other peoples, namely the ancient Greeks and Romans.

Herodotus writes that "they sell their children and let their wives commerce with whatever men they please"

One notable cult that is attested from Thrace to Moesia and Scythia Minor is that of the "Thracian horseman", also known as the "Thracian Heros", at Odessos (Varna) attested by a Thracian name as Heros Karabazmos, a god of the underworld usually depicted on funeral statues as a horseman slaying a beast with a spear.

I love being a good guy and being understanding, but at the same time I do not fall into the trap of "love", which is the false belief that "it" lasts forever, there is no "love" that could last, love is intangible, an illusion, often propagated by hollywood

not being enthralled is great, plus it is attractive, you can fall in love with a lot of people simultaneously, it's not a finite resource

so enjoy life, be free, don't deny your feelings, but at the same time don't inflate them artificially with that "love" talk

I think you've taken a major step in the right direction

Limits of MBTI

However, this argument is mistaken, because the imperative against using the MBTI in recruitment is not based on sentiment, but on business need. Using the MBTI in executive recruitment is not providing a premium service. On the contrary, it can lead to poor or even disastrous recruitment decisions, for three main reasons:

* the lack of faking scale
* the lack of predictive validity, and
* the lack of distinction between preference and competence.

Whilst the MBTI questionnaire can be used for some applications that don't require these things (eg: personal development, team building, career counselling), it is not appropriate for those contexts that do (ie executive recruitment).

March to the Tune of the Drummer Boy ???

History of the Four Interaction Styles

Throughout the ages, observers of human behavior have repeatedly identified patterns or configurations of behavior. Such holistic sorting of behavior patterns has been recorded for at least twenty-five centuries. Ancient philosophers described four dispositions called temperaments—a choleric, a phlegmatic, a melancholic, and a sanguine temperament. Interpretations of these patterns have varied over the years, with two distinct interpretations: one is David Keirsey’s temperament theory and the other relates to the Interaction Styles model.

Most twentieth-century psychologists abandoned holistic observation of human behavior for a microscopic examination of parts, fragments, traits, and so on. To them, all human beings were basically alike—and individual differences were due to chance or conditioning—yet many of them ultimately described patterns that resemble our holistic view.

Theia

In Greek mythology, Theia, goddess or divine, (sometimes written Thea or Thia), also called Euryphaessa, wide-shining, was a Titan. The name Theia alone means simply, "goddess"; Theia Euryphaessa (Θεία Εὐρυφάεσσα) brings overtones of extent (εὐρύς eurys "wide", root: εὐρυ-/εὐρε-) and brightness (φάος phaos "light", root: φαεσ-).

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Theia

According to the giant impact hypothesis, there was once a Mars-sized body referred to as Theia orbiting in our solar system. The planet was named after the Greek Titan who gave birth to the Moon goddess Selene—a fitting name considering that the planet Theia is thought to be responsible for the birth of our moon.

Theia would have formed in about the same orbit as Earth, but about 60° ahead or behind. When the protoplanet had grown to be about the size of Mars, its size made it too heavy for its orbit to remain stable. As a result, its angular distance from Earth varied increasingly, until it finally it crashed into the Earth.

The collision would have occurred circa 4.533 billion years ago when Theia would have hit the Earth at an oblique angle, and destroyed herself in the process. Theia's mantle and a significant portion of the Earth's silicate mantle were thrust into space. The left over materials from Theia mixed with the materials from the Earth and eventually formed the Moon.

or

ITPN-"the cutter" Bloody Hand
This type has all the identity strife of the ITNP, but tends to externalize it as physical activity of some kind. The two ITs tend to be the most objective of all the subtypes, because they are constantly forced to face their faults.

Any sociologists out there? There appears to be five types of people that have a tendency towards being attracted to their own gender for love and sex:

1) Warrior type of adolescent that has never grown up to the stage of liking the opposite sex

2) Adolescent with the narcissist Mother who is discouraging to her son and she does not like males

3) Lonely dependent who is more like a girl

4) Prisoner of fate who lacks the opprtunity for girls and is living a pretence (rare)
Or directly intimidated, raped or groomed by criminal sodomites for their nefarious purposes
(not as rare as supposed)

5) Slut who is so jaded and bored and needs a bit of variety (rare)

Just remember your lines and don't bump into the furniture

There is a medical condition called Clinical Depression.

There is also a state which I call Critical Stress, which the 21st century physicians called Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

Clinical Depression is probably (my view) a prolonged state of Critical Stress. It happens so often that a good General Practioner of Medicine is probably aware. Whether he/she can help you is a different matter.

As far as the Psi Cops (Conventional Psychiatry) is concerned that the idiots don't have a clue and will shrink your brain with drugs.

In Perseus terms, Critical Stress probably develops traits (morph-shift to other personality types) that you never knew existed, sometimes called the Shadow processes. In theory it is forced Personal Growth. In practice it is traumatic exhausting, detrmental to your health, causes distress, and tends to make people unhappy as they are acting out of character.

In the UK, it is Government military policy to induce distress in the dissenters, on in other words the Guards SJ will tend to persecute the NP Questors. Library science (or Library and Information science) is an interdisciplinary field that applies the practices, perspectives, and tools of management, information technology, education, and other areas to libraries; the collection, organization, preservation, and dissemination of information resources; and the political economy of information. Historically, library science has also included archival science.[1] This includes how information resources are organized to serve the needs of select user groups, how people interact with classification systems and technology, how information is acquired, evaluated and applied by people in and outside of libraries as well as cross-culturally, how people are trained and educated for careers in libraries, the ethics that guide library service and organization, the legal status of libraries and information resources, and the applied science of computer technology used in documentation and records management.

Thankfully, they rarely try because when you try flipping the roles, the ENTPs penchant for prospecting for good ideas makes them incisive and very good at assessing the kernels of new ideas, they know which will grow and which wont, INTJs, as much as they would like to be good at assessing risk and going out on a limb, aren't.
A fabulous doctrine.

Football Team:
ENTJ as Boss, INTJ as Deputy, INTP or ENTP as Architect of Ideas/Legal Advisor, ESFJ as Salesman, ISTJ as Security, ENFP as Researcher, ESFP as Performer, ENFJ as Teacher (or INFJ Graphic Designer), three ISFJ helpers.

Substitutes: ESFJ (Chauffeur), ESTJ (Logistics), ISTJ (Bookkeeper), ISFP (Designer/Artwork), INFP (Counsellor).

No position has been allocated for the ISTP Artisan or ESTP Promoter. The first one would be the working class tradesman. The Promoter would be their Boss.

They would be engaged on a sub-contract. Or the ISTP could be the Maintenance Man.

Do INTP/ENTP feel excluded? Nobody cares about their ideas because they do not understand. To start with they are thought of as ISTPs without a trade. And their P is not understood so they have dumb down to the J of the Bosses who are simply not listening.

Typology Prayers:

INTJ: "Lord keep me open to others' ideas, WRONG though they may be."

Bridge to Nowhere
I'm tentatively concluding that a four-function order can be assigned to each type in my system. My observations and theoretical logic both point in this direction. I'll explain the logic, but leave you to make your own observations, and check them against it.

Here is the INTP explanation: Because of the preference for perceiving in general, which is an objective pursuit, at the expense of judging in general, a subjective pursuit, it stands to reason that Sensing will be afforded more concentration than Feeling in the INTP. It also follows that because Intuition is in competition with Sensing, that Thinking should easily find its way into slot 2 in the order (And the T/F competition naturally places F last). Therefore, we are left with a function order of Intuition/Thinking/Sensing/Feeling for the INTP.

A sidenote is that I've found the best word yet to describe our "core psyche's" relationship with the functions: Consideration. More consideration is typically given to a function which is higher in the order.

All NPs have problems with Guards SJ because of their backwards logic.

Guardians can have a hard time understanding that people really do see things differently. Once they can get to the point of seeing that the differences are good, most of them appreciate being taught.

Righteous Terror

With Guardians, it is important to avoid conflicts in principles. Principles are along the lines of, "I know this is right because it just is: because my religion backs me, history backs me, and/or common sense backs me." It is easy for Guardians to get stuck on a principle and be almost completely unable to see anything other than their currently narrow position.

Celtic Human Sacrifices

Celtic religious practice was probably sacrificial in its interactions with the gods. Roman writers stated that the Celts practiced human sacrifice in Gaul: Cicero, Julius Caesar, Suetonius, and Lucan all refer to it, and Pliny the Elder says that it occurred in Britain, too. It was forbidden under Tiberius and Claudius. However there is also the possibility that these claims may have been false, and used as a sort of propaganda to justify the Roman conquest of these territories. There are only very few recorded archaeological discoveries which preserve evidence of human sacrifice and thus most contemporary historians tend to regard human sacrifice as rare within Celtic cultures. There is some circumstantial evidence that human sacrifice was known in Ireland and was later forbidden by St. Patrick, a claim which has also been disputed.

Soteriology in Pagan Religions

Soteriology is the study of religious doctrines of salvation, which are a feature of various religions.

Pagan religions are numerous and diverse, but some archetypes and themes are shared, although not universally. Pagan savior figures can be seen in harvest deities who are sacrificed to become food, sustenance so that the religious community may have continuing life. This may take the form of a sacrificial animal hunted, or an agricultural deity, frequently a grain god who becomes bread and beer. In the pagan mystery religions, salvation was less worldly and communal, and more a mystical belief concerned with the continued survival of the individual soul after death. [10] Savior gods associated with this theme are often dying and resurrected gods, such as Osiris, Tammus, Adonis, and Dionysos. A complex of soteriological beliefs was also a feature of the pagan cult of Cybele and Attis. [11]

Frequently pagan soteriology involves a journey after death to the underworld realm of the dead, where eternal life is won. The similarity of themes and archetypes to later Christianity has been pointed out by many authors, including the fathers of the early Christian church. One common assumption is that early Christianity borrowed these myths and themes from the earlier pagan religions, who already possessed the idea of a dying and resurrected savior god, who was born of a human mother and a divine father; and who was associated with the sun, and various other commonalities between Christianity and its pagan precursors.

ENTJs are feared by INTPs because they have the Boss and have Power over the pack. The INFP knows that the ENTJ is a killer. ENTPs are spooks to ESFJ who hate them. NPs have trouble with the prevalent SJ Guards in the employ of the ENTJ as is the deputy INTJ.

PS: ENTJs don't tell the truth. They make judgements and get paranoid.

Her answer:
"I think you are generally an emotional person, but you keep it to yourself more than others. The impact it has on you and how you react inside is probably as dramatic, but you deal with it in your head differently and the effect it has to people around you is next to nothing. Thus making you a cold person on the surface, but I'm pretty sure there are emotions underneath."

She's an ENFP, and I'm really surprised at how well she actually knows my INTP mind, because she doesn't always understand why I react to things the way I do. Interesting explanation though!

Do other INT's identify with this?

A good question and one I do not know the answer to. Under distress (Critical Stress) we become hypersensitive to emotions. So do ISTP.

The difference between the two types is how we respond. The Sensors will react in the sexy present and the Introspectives in a rational way. Whatever happens the Guards SJ could become uptight. Trouble looms if Guards and Crazies are involved.

Advisors (second opinion) for the INTP are the harmonious INFJ and for the ISTP it is the ISFJ Mouse or Hamster.

You feel to moan but unlike before
You discover
That you'd just be

This artistic subtype is always destroying itself, finding an identity in the process of constant self-creation. This is the mellower version of the ITs.

Borderline Personality Disorder

Caprice or Cassandra

This pattern usually evolves through three stages: The Vulnerable Seducer, The Clinger, and The Hater. This evolution may take months, and sometimes even years to cycle through. In the later periods, the personality often swings wildly back and forth from one phase to the next.

Love: The Vulnerable Seducer Phase

At first, a Borderline female may appear sweet, shy, vulnerable and "ambivalently in need of being rescued"; looking for her Knight in Shining Armor.

In the beginning, you will feel a rapidly accelerating sense of compassion because she is a master at portraying herself as she "victim of love" and you are saving her. But listen closely to how she sees herself as a victim. As her peculiar emotional invasion advances upon you, you will hear how no one understands her - except you. Other people have been "insensitive." She has been betrayed, just when she starts trusting people. But there is something "special" about you, because "you really seem to know her."

It is this intense way she has of bearing down on you emotionally that can feel very seductive. You will feel elevated, adored, idealized - almost worshiped, maybe even to the level of being uncomfortable. And you will feel that way quickly. It may seem like a great deal has happened between the two of you in a short period of time, because conversation is intense, her attention, and her eyes are so deeply focused on you.

Here is a woman who may look like a dream come true. She not only seems to make you the center of her attention, but she even craves listening to your opinions, thoughts and ideas. It will seem like you have really found your heart's desire.

Like many things that seems too good to be true, this is. This is borderline personality disorder.

It will all seem so real because it is real in her mind. But what is in her mind it is not what you perceive to be happening.

Love: The Clinger Phase

Once she has successfully candied her hook with your adoration, she will weld it into place by “reeling in” your attention and concern. Her intense interest in you will subtly transform over time. She still appears to be interested in you, but no longer in what you are interested in. Her interest becomes your exclusive interest in her. This is when you start to notice “something”. Your thoughts, feelings and ideas fascinate her, but more so when they focus on her. You can tell when this happens because you can feel her "perk-up" emotionally whenever your attention focuses upon her feelings and issues. Those moments can emotionally hook your compassion more deeply into her, because that is when she will treat you well - tenderly.

It’s often here, you begin to confuse your empathy with love, and you believe you're in love with her. Especially if your instinct is strong and rescuing is at the heart of your "code." Following that code results in the most common excuse I hear as a therapist, as to why many men stay with borderline women, ".... But I love her!" Adult love is built on mutual interest, care and respect - not on one-way emotional rescues. And mothering is for kids. Not grown men.

But, if like King Priam, you do fall prey to this Trojan Horse and let her inside your city gates, the first Berserker to leave the horse will be the devious Clinger. A master at strengthening her control through empathy, she is brilliant at eliciting sympathy and identifying those most likely to provide it-like the steady-tempered and tenderhearted.

The world ails her. Physical complaints are common. Her back hurts. Her head aches. Peculiar pains of all sorts come and go like invisible, malignant companions. If you track their appearance, though, you may see a pattern of occurrence connected to the waning or waxing of your attentions. Her complaints are ways of saying, "don't leave me. Save me!" And Her maladies are not simply physical. Her feelings ail her too.

She is depressed or anxious, detached and indifferent or vulnerable and hypersensitive. She can swing from elated agitation to mournful gloom at the blink of an eye. Watching the erratic changes in her moods is like tracking the needle on a Richter-scale chart at the site of an active volcano, and you never know which flick of the needle will predict the big explosion.

But after every emotional Vesuvius she pleads for your mercy. And if she has imbedded her guilt-hooks deep enough into your conscientious nature, you will stay around and continue tracking this volcanic earthquake, caught in the illusion that you can discover how to stop Vesuvius before she blows again. But, in reality, staying around this cauldron of emotional unpredictability is pointless. Every effort to understand or help this type of woman is an excruciatingly pointless exercise in emotional rescue.

It is like you are a Coast Guard cutter and she is a drowning woman. But she drowns in a peculiar way. Every time you pull her out of the turbulent sea, feed her warm tea and biscuits, wrap her in a comfy blanket and tell her everything is okay, she suddenly jumps overboard and starts pleading for help again. And, no matter how many times you rush to the emotional - rescue, she still keeps jumping back into trouble. It is this repeating, endlessly frustrating pattern which should confirm to you that you are involved with a Borderline Personality Disorder. No matter how effective you are at helping her, nothing is ever enough. No physical, financial or emotional assistance ever seems to make any lasting difference. It's like pouring the best of your self into a galactic-sized Psychological Black Hole of bottomless emotional hunger. And if you keep pouring it in long enough, one-day you'll fall right down that hole yourself. There will be nothing left of you but your own shadow, just as it falls through her predatory "event horizon." But before that happens, other signs will reveal her true colors.

Sex will be incredible. She will be instinctually tuned in to reading your needs. It will seem wonderful - for a while.

The intensity of her erotic passion can sweep you away, but her motive is double-edged. One side of it comes from the instinctually built-in, turbulent emotionality of her disorder. Intensity is her trump-card.

But the other side of her is driven by an equally instinctually and concentrated need to control you. The sexual experiences, while imposing, are motivated from a desire to dominate you, not please you. Her erotic intensity will be there in a cunning way tailored so you will not readily perceive it.

“I love you” means – “I need you to love me”. “That was the best ever for me” means – tell me “it was the best ever for you”. Show me that I have you.

Love: The Hater Phase

Once a Borderline Controller has succeeded and is in control, the Hater appears. This hateful part of her may have emerged before, but you probably will not see it in full, acidic bloom until she feels she has achieved a firm hold on your conscience and compassion. But when that part makes it's first appearance, rage is how it breaks into your life.

What gives this rage its characteristically borderline flavor is that it is very difficult for someone witnessing it to know what triggered it in reality. But that is its primary identifying clue: the actual rage-trigger is difficult for you to see. But in the Borderline's mind it always seems to be very clear. To her, there is always a cause. And the cause is always you. Whether it is the tone of your voice, how you think, how you feel, dress, move or breathe - or "the way you're looking at me," - she will always justify her rage by blaming you for "having to hurt her."

Rage reactions are also unpredictable and unexpected. They happen when you least expect it. And they can become extremely dangerous. It all serves to break you down over time. Your self esteem melts away. You change and alter your behavior in hopes of returning to the “Clinger Stage”. And periodically you will, but only to cycle back to the hater when you least expect it, possibly on her birthday, or your anniversary.

Borderline Personality Disorder is a serious mental illness.

In the Perseus System this broad category Spinning Top overlay program diagnosis is caused by social events and has several names depending on the symptoms. Yours appears to be the Trojan Horse one. These are dangerous. But other versions are Caprice, Cassandra and the Dryad Syndrome.

However, please note that there is an interchange of personalities and Caprice will not behave the same way with all partners (unless she has a long lasting disorder). .

This Crazy shit is the interesting viewpoint of the Psi Cops.

Nonetheless, it is interesting. Drowning in the Sea of Idiots. Can you rise above such unfortunate circumstances, or will gravity and the need for money bring you back down to the Feeding Grounds?

Magic Carpet Ride

“Fall in love or fall in hate.
Get inspired or be depressed.
Get confused or be straight.
Flunk a class or ace a test.
Become a slut or be reborn a virgin.
Get fit or get fat.
Make babies or make art.
Speak the truth or lie and cheat.
Live happily ever after or get divorced.
Dance on tables or sit in the corner and be shy.
Let me (scream or whisper) a secret to you: It’s doesn’t matter. Nobody’s actually watching.
Life is divine chaos.
Embrace it.
Forgive yourself.
Breathe.
And enjoy the ride.”

I do not know where this originally came from.

More Dialogue: Para-annoyed

Para- annoyed

especially with people like you around. Beside myself!

Who else is going to stand by my side?

Negative Reactions Others May Have Toward You

Negative Reactions Others May Have Toward You

(from EHarmony)

Maybe they'll think you're a phony, that you use your altruism to get others indebted to you so they'll then owe you a favour. Or perhaps they'll accuse you, directly or behind your back, of focusing on the needs of others so no one ever focuses on your foibles or your genuine wounds.

Those who live in their emotions may feel you tend to "live in your head" while those who go through life as an emotional rock may feel that you are a bit too "touchy feely" for their approach.

Here's another word of caution. You've been at this warm and open way of relating for a while, but for some people it's a brand new experience. They may be protecting something inside themselves, some fear or guilt or shame, or some private part of their story that they're not yet ready to share. Your openness might threaten them, and they'll take a step back and be reluctant the next time to engage you in the kind of exchange you find so easy and satisfying but they find so dangerous.

Let's be frank - it's not always easy to work with someone like you. Almost any group effort requires a certain amount of common understanding about where everyone is headed and what the plan is to get there. But with you on board, there is always the chance that you'll change the schedule, find an alternative route, or come up with a perfect argument for doing things in a completely different sequence than was planned. And that can drive some people to distraction. If that is often the case, if you find that your friends and colleagues live with a chronic sense of frustration with you; you may want to recalibrate your way of doing things when you work with them. Understand that we aren't suggesting that you change your ability to tap into your creativity or even your impulsiveness. Rather we are suggesting you consider if you can stay in tune with your ingenuity in ways that will not frustrate others desire to stay on schedule and to follow predefined courses of action.

Many people are content with the ideas that have served them and their culture well, and with visions they've grown accustomed to of what is and is not true. They're not lit up at the prospect of moving out of their comfort zone. Others are afraid of new ways of thinking and creative ways of solving problems because they are somewhat fragile in the sense that they have trouble maintaining serenity in their current worlds and don't want someone, like you, for instance, pushing out the edges of their intellectual and cultural cosmos. So don't be surprised if your unconventional ideas sometimes get you criticized, or if some people walk away from the explorations of new territories of the mind that you find so exhilarating.

Self Defence

Research ANGER

Anger - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Perseus Defence Lawyers will use the defence of "self defence"

Self-defence in English law is a complete defence to all levels of assault

Self-defence in English law - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The adversary invoked such levels of fear/anger in the accused that he was forced to react in anger to protect his wellbeing. Anger being indistinguishable from temporary insanity. The danger was such that waking away alternative would not be available. The adversary declined to walk away as well.

The defence will maintain that the client was completely sober.

The client will already have taking efforts to remove himself from the scene of conflict. Intention is removed so therefore a crime cannot be committed without intent.

In other words, diminished responsibility is not acccepted by this client as a mitigating factor. He pleads absolute not guilty and that anger was the normal response to the situation caused by the Other.

Intention is generally defined in terms of foresight of particular consequences and a desire to act or fail to act so that those consequences occur. It is distinguished from recklessness because, on a subjective basis, there is foresight but no desire to produce the consequences.

Diminished responsibility might be a defence if the client was suffering from a head injury that impaired his cognition.

The Straw that Broke the Camel's back!

Camels (ESFJ variant) are

1) Very irritable "got the hump"

2) Spit out disgusting lies when speaking, and in secret

3) Can lie extensively without feeling any guilt about it "go awhile without water"

4) Live in deserts with other unsavoury types, best suited

5) Usually ruled by a Master. The crueller the better to keep them in line as their natural disposition is horrid.

6) And what is not so well known, is Camels have a good memory (for imagined slights).

7) Obstinate and recalcriant.

Moral: never ever tell a Camel anything!

I do see your point though and he could be an INTP with a little bit lower on the P scale. He is very judgemental. He has the arrogance of the INTJ.

I think he is a Messenger/Teacher rather than a system builder. This would make him an INFJ so he is clearly a morph-shifter between different types.

The biggest vote in favour of INTP of the NIPT category is his invention of memes, which is a meme. On the Starship he would be Data, opponent of the villain Lore.
