Primary accent is on the first syllable. The consonants are as in English (Chinook Jargon was traditionally written mostly in an English-based, relatively unstandardized orthography, though there was also a unique writing system called Duployan shorthand that was used in some circles, and increasingly from the turn of the 20th century on there has been a tendency to use IPA-related phonetic symbols, or "North Americanist" orthographies that draw heavily on those symbols). The first vowel, indeed the first syllable, is as in "till", the second vowel is a very understated schwa, like the i in "calibrate" or the second "a" in "catapult" at normal conversational speed; and the final syllable is somewhere along a spectrum between "come" and "calm". "Tillicum" is the usual English spelling. "Tillikum" is also common. Versions like yours with single "l" are less common (in English contexts; probably more common in actual Chinook Jargon usage, but pronounced identically. I'll leave it to the experts to say what the proper modern orthography is at Grand Ronde, Oregon.

Same word but with two l's. I imagine you have done a Google search and came up with Tillicum Village, in which case you know Tillicum Village is an Indian Cultural Center and restaurant (indigenous-style salmon) on Blake Island in Puget Sound.

Well, Elip (EE'lip) is "first, superlative, elder", so "Elip Tilicum" could easily be "old friend" or "best friend" or "the elders of my people". ChinUk Wawa is a contact language, and its words, as in any trade jargon or pidgin, are very elastic and can cover quite a bit more semantic ground than their roots mean in the original languages.

The Chinook, or Chinookan-speakers, are the indigenous peoples who lived at the time of European contact on the lower reaches of the Columbia River and around the area where it enters the Pacific. As far as I know the Chinookan languages per se are completely extinct, but the Wawa, or Jargon based on it (with admixtures of Nootkan, Salishan, English, French and other vocabulary) survives, as its use on this very mailing list evidences. This Jargon was a very widespread contact language in the NW US and far western Canada in the 1800s.

Chapter 14 (Developments)

The Horsemen (ESFJ) has tired of his latest conquest and wants to offload the Cat on me. What he must suspect that the Cat (ISTP) enticed him in the first place. The Horse turns into a Rodent (ISFJ) and the Cat transforms to Dragon (INTP). It has to because it is the end of her nine lives. The Dog Soldiers are queuing for Caprice who wants to bag up the Cat and throw her in the river, the Cat who wants to poison the Horsemen, her next suitor and Caprice as well (unless Caprice can get away: she will see it coming, but will she act, or will she sadly submit to her fate). And everybody gets on each other's nerves.

If another Pony knew what what is on my mind, she had better run. Unless she wants a Bear (ISTP) Hug. But there is a price to pay first from the executive function of the Eagle (INTP).

PS: Conscious of the approaching deadline. But all routes seem to be blocked by the diabolicals.

I knew that under minor difficulties that people adapt and can morph-change through different types. What I did not realise that under trauma, the functions are so messed up (possibly to the fourth inferior function [Quenk] happens often). The person could then send to have drowned (not swimming amongst the sea of people but going under). Logically, then a whole different set of underwater animals characterisations are necessary, which makes life very complicated. An underwater Seahorse does not (but I think it can) operate like a terrestrial Horse. This I believe to be a distorted interpretation. Anyrate, there are Walruses, Dolphins, Sharks, combative Lobsters and Crabs, Oarfish, Eels, Krakens etc. all inhabiting the undersea inner world.
Well, I am getting a little bit of sleep now. I dare say if I am pin sharp awake I can allocate the various undersea animals (I have not finished the terrestrial ones yet).

Agamemnon (very resolute)

In Greek mythology, Agamemnon (very resolute) / (ancient Greek: Ἀγαμέμνων) is a hero, the son of King Atreus of Mycenae and Queen Aerope, the brother of Menelaus and the husband of Clytemnestra; different mythological versions make him the king either of Mycenae or of Argos. Chapter 13 (Blue Murder)

The psychological torture is designed to induce conversion and repentence, even under a false confession. I think the Narc or malignant can be smoked out. His actions may not actually be illegal though. Black Magic, hypnotism in the community, seems to be legal, but not premeditated assault and attack, although a slap on the wrist for the scapegoat may be the remedy. Many of the targets commit suicide as a result of the social defeat engineered by the intimidation brigade.

The violent Guards do not seem to change. They may disguise or camouflage their intentions and they stay within the law as they get older. The sadist becomes contrite and carries on as usual.
The perpetrators are quite capable of destroying lives completely. This is either the mind bending of the Right Wing Christians or the slavery of the Right Wing National Socialists. Ideally, the target could be found useful work to suit his psychological type/ capacities.

See Babylon 4:10 for brainwashing techniques uncovered by the telepaths. Garibaldi (the Guard) was successfully doctored. It is debatable whether that Artisans, Idealists and Rationals can be doctored in this way. The Black Guards care about possession, prestige, honour etc, whereas the others may care about individual people, souls, freedom etc.

Neither side is wrong or right, but the distress caused by the torture is very distressing. The Charades, Ceremonies of Horsemen, are visible enough, at least by the Architects. Guards, especially the Horsemen (ESFJ) project their own fears.

After the ceremonies, what next? The Elite Force or the assassins may set an ambush. I said it always ended in violence.

Chapter 12 (with notes) Great Bear Cafe

The Picnic Controller of the Artisan world (Fauna in John Steinbeck's "Sweet Thursday") organises the charade or the masquerade, the party to put the Doc and Suzy together and it did not work. At least not that time, although there was a record of Gold Stars. At least the Doc had the choice and a stranger was not foisted on him without consultation. Fauna always thinks she knows best. She is a Bear (ISTP) and they are apt to be superficial. She can't tell the difference between a Cat (ISFP) and a Dragon (INFP).

On the Balcony (Jean Genet) everybody plays a role. I think that there is no escape from this. It is (for me) that I am unable (now) to find the correct role for my personality. I expect that I ought to be a writer. But there are lots of writers and the pay is poor. I don't want to live in a lonely garret (Watching the River Flow) without any dosh.

Somehow, I want to get back into the sea of people (without drowning), where I was before I was attacked and ostracised.

The personality type mechanism is rising above such unfortunate circumstances. At the feeding grounds and watering holes, the person has to become an extravert. e.g. the INTP (Eagle) becomes the ENTP Snake. This spooks the Guardian Horsemen (ESFJ) and this happens time and time again. He thinks the intruder is aiming to be Champion the Wonder Horse. Guardians habitually cannot appreciate that other people are different from them and see things in their own ambitions and become hostile. Therefore, I get excluded.

I try to walk through the fear, but it takes too much time to feel safe. This is my personality handicap. This can be seen a Schizoid Disorder, but I see it as Information Deficit. It may also be regarded as lack of support. This may happen both ways. It happens with missing parents or Narc parents (e.g. Puff the Magic Dragon). The parent instead of giving support tries to blow down the boundaries of your personality. Or the parent thinks that the reputation of the family (or the boss of the firm in the workplace scenario) is more important than the individual person. Shotgun weddings etc.

Two o'clock in the morning and I have a airy feeling which I put down as an uninvited stalker (not my neighbour), or an invited stalker out of reach. I've got a feeling that a Cat may have transformed to Dragon. This is a rather unforseen happening and rather risky and dangerous event. I don't think there has been a conscious connection and I don't understand how the dreamboat works. There has not been any ghosts or hauntings. I am not so sure that a Dragon (INFP) and Phoenix (XNXP) can mix: more like identity theft? The Ferret (ENTP) would work well though. Need some grounding in reality (non-fliers).

Office Bullies: Insulted in Public? Unmask the Bully!

For office bullies, every day is Halloween. That is, office bullies wear masks. They fear exposing their inner weakness. You can use this trait to your advantage when a bully insults or criticizes you in front of others.

Try these steps:
Take a deep breath and allow yourself time to process the comment. Recognize the insult for what it is—and is not. It is not a constructive suggestion for change. It is a bully’s challenge, designed to embarrass you. Give yourself time to quiet your natural desire to defend yourself. Defensiveness puts you in a weaker position. Instead, allow silence to form around the bully’s words. You can experiment by asking the bully direct questions, such as “What makes you think that?” “How do you see that quality in my action?” This puts the onus on the bully to respond.

Since there’s likely to be little data or back up to support their original comment, the bully may have to back down. Use the “broken record technique,” that is, repeat your questions until the bully responds. Stating your question firmly and with confidence is key. There’s nothing a bully fears more than being unmasked. When you remain calm, in control and ask questions, you’re likely to expose the bully’s weakness—her ability to think clearly and support her conclusions.

Another's Perspective

Idealists are generally the best at entering into another person’s reality, at least in part. They tend to have problems in two basic areas, that of failing to stay true to themselves and demonizing the other person because of a values conflict. Rationals often can’t see why they should care about another’s reality except on a theoretical level. When they do care, they tend to feel very inadequate, an especially unpleasant feeling for Rationals. Guardians can have a hard time understanding that people really do see things differently. Once they can get to the point of seeing that the differences are good, most of them appreciate being taught. Artisans have no problem understanding that there are differing perspectives. They are often able to use and even exploit these differences. However, most Artisans have only a limited ability to truly enter fully into another’s perspective.

This stalking is actually far worse than the original attack, but they are connected because I never recovered from the original trauma. They may actually be connected, actions by the stalker contributed to the attack on me.
One point to note is that stalking does not have to be malicious.

There is a problem of when interest or concern about Another turns into a nuisance. Apparently, the narcissist gets these boundaries and decisions too heavy, whilst the shy and avoidant may be too light. Don't think about the sadist/assertive. Big Green Turtle

Up again in the middle of the night (which meant I got some sleep on account of drunkeness to relieve a neuralgia attack) so I decided to mend my bicycle by the front door light.

These are the type of people that burn books, run whorehouses (Fauna in the Great Bear Cafe thought she right about the love matches and she proved by a collection of Gold Stars: Sweet Thursday by John Steinbeck), wear the Corporation T-shirt and hate Turtles (and bicycles).

The reason for not going to the Psi Cops (psychiatrists) is because they (a bit like the crucifixion priests) want to indoctrinate you into their Weltanschauung (world view). It is not a very good one. They put stupid labels on people (stigma) and lock them up without a charge. There record is appalling. It is the Reform House where people are made to be unhappy. They poison them and induce them to commit suicide at an appalling rate. Their system is run by self-serving Incurables. These people not only do NOT cure people, they induce a sickness into the community. I have been observing this and I have not known one case (out of about a dozen) where the malignant has turned normal. They simply do not want to do so. It should be possible. It does not seem very likely though. He would most likely have to be supported to change his behaviour. He would then recover, but the target would still get no redress for his suffering. However, there have been cases where the supporters of the malignant have changed sides and the malignant is left isolated and without support. Change appears to have occurred, but it may be the malignant source was wrongly identified?

However, I do believe there may be cases where the person has learned a malignant criminal agenda. Or even when they have been tricked into believing it. They may subsequently discover the nature of their delusion. There are out and out criminals (which tend to make you ill) and people who have been criminalised by contact.

And then there are the dispossessed and poverty stricken, which are not malignants, but may behave in unlawful and a harmful self-seeking manner through necessity or greed. So it is not all black and white. There are shades of grey.

An agenda that is contrary to your beliefs may be classed as you as out and out malignant. In the Thieves Kitchen, the Saint or Angel is the malignant one.

In the world of ideals, politics, and committee meetings, where introspectives push their agenda, a compromise is painfully worked out. The unhealthy one (who disagrees with the consensus) is out in the cold. Ask Socrates.

Truth has got nothing to do with it. The game is power. Power is to gain control of resources.

The scientist may have to be an outsider and be detached. He presents evidence and lets the clowns (=politicians) make decisions. He will not be in the Guards.

I looked this up because I met a female INFJ and then Emily Brontë's name came up as probably this personality type. She did not understand about the mad woman in the basement though.

Their reputation for reading the minds of others even before the others know themselves is uncanny and seems to be true. I find this personality type the most mysterious and hidden of them all to me. Even more so if they habitually act in their secondary function (e.g. doing a job that is not their natural inclination). I have named them Skylarks.

I would guess Jane Eyre was this personality.

Recovery Mode + Bullying is Institutionalised (& Navigation)

As I think I explained before, I have actually recovered from the original bullying episode, by getting out of the toxic zone. My neighbour is still extremely toxic and may have been contributory to the original incident. Alas, the poison is still in the air: deliberate maligning by the original bully (actually a Camelhead ESFJ variant). Truth does not matter at all: the Earthlings (Sensors) believe what they want to hear and disregard the rest.

I just forget it all and move on, with the Ghosts still tracking me for good or bad, but mostly uncertainty.

However, as I expect others know, he recovery mode is like being a vulnerable person. This would be helped by support. Alas, I am a very awkward personality type (all idealists/Rationals may fall into this group) and help and support from the Artisans (SP) and Guardians (SJ) is at best only a small part in the recovery. Even the Hawks (INTJ) are getting it wrong for me, not helped by my social clumsiness.

I think the most essential thing in recovery from trauma is being around with compatible people. Intuition is probably the usual guide, but my personality type needed help from the David Keirsey book. e.g. It is useful to know that Artisans are the original fools that rush in. As an Angel, I fear to tread. &/or Rationals do not approve of sexual promiscuity and are repelled by ignorant partners. But the Panda (ISTP variant) doesn't know this.

The books are for readers, for Rationals and Idealists, disdained by Artisans and probably not understood by Guardians. So the personality type study will not apply to those who think they already know better (e.g. Fauna in the Great Bear Cafe in John Steinbeck's "Sweet Thursday").

But Guardians know the value of money, support the institutions and can shock the Reds (Idealists and Rationals) with their stinginess, liable to trash people who are not upright and clean-cut, condemn the lovers, and their righteous may go as far as lying and cheating in the name of their cause or mission and ruthlessly intimidate the 'wrong' thinking Other. If the Other does not wear the Corporation T-shirt, he may be the best worker in the team, but may be condemned and ostracised by All, from the Wolfman (ENTJ) in charge to the Bully (ESTJ) underlings.

Bullying and intimidation can thus be seen to be institutionalised. The Watch only steps in when the law is broken and proof can be provided. As Terry Pratchett says, Dragons will fly around whilst the Watch are playing darts. The Corporation will cover up malpractices, and some powerful groups may seem to be above the law.

I keep missing the bus (opportunities) and it keeps me awake at night. I started this about four in the morning. But this is the nature of the Phoenix (XNXP) when my Social Scene has been disrupted seriously to the extent of Blue Murder, it needs to be repaired.

The moral of this tale, is to choose your parents, best friends at school, neighbours, mates (friends and partners), work colleagues, with great care. Of course, we do not do this. We get what fate dishes out. He was born east of the line on the wrong side of town.

Delicately, I have hoped to exclude the poisonous Conceited One from out of the loop, with his would be Hawk behaving like a Dog. He should not really know: it was a finesse.

Home is still full to enter without permission. Puff the Magic Dragon intermittently tries to blow down the walls, but the core is made of brick.

The Smuggling Gang was tracked by the Watch all the time and they did not even know it. These fucktwits are playing stupid games and will trash the heads of any new crumpet on the dockside manor. Their collective fortress will not be blown away by me. It was hammer blow, but that it is their limited repertoire. I am bored of it all.

I was hoping to find the answer to Critical Stress or Burn Out in the above book. All, I really got was confirmation of what happens when Eagles (INTP) go Pony (ESFJ). The fourth inferior function is unfamiliar. The Grip Reports seem to indicate that most people in this unfamiliar world see it as fraught with dangers. I described it as Heaven & Hell (with a really special form of neighbourly hell) and try as hard as I could, the hell component was the overiding occurrence. There were periods of heaven, but the hell returned before I could find my operating wavelength.

THE TRUE STORY

Looking for a place to lay my head, I went into the public house of the local Lord looking for Cassandra (who was offside by conventional and support, but still within the law). Actually, the PH was occupied by degenerates including Ajax the Lesser. For this purpose the Phoenix adopts his wyrm (serpent)- like mode.

Interlude; The Irish Hawker girl had seduced a young Pony and she was pregnant with one of those mysterious babies that appear by accident.

On board ship, I heard by the international telepath, the Germans were calling, and the young Ginger one has written down a message.

Dare I be kidnapped by the German aliens? Will they succour my body and feed on my soul? Are they friends like the Dutch? But a wrong move could trash my head or get me killed by the Mad Axeman in the criminal family.

In the Lord's public house, I was hounded out by the Guardians, after the Cat had sent a message (surmised). I went cruising, but there were only young ponies and older dogs, and a brass or two on the loose. I was running out of spare change. I wanted to talk to somebody.

I was sent to the public house Bad Pines where I was offered rest and fun at the retirement home. I declined their offer. On my way home, I spotted the sadist with a young girl, he had stolen/begged from his Son (surmised).

Interlude: The local Mafiosa were predating on young girls for the Pet Shop rounds. They had kidnapped a Hawk. She sat there drugged and watching television like a melon.

Back in the local grade Secret Agencies, all had their own problems. The Psi Cops were waiting to arrest me, if I made a wrong move. They sent down a spaced out Beaver (could have been a Horseman, I wasn't paying attention), a trusted Dog with the daughter of the Wolfman as a honey trap. They told endless lies. The Beaver was suffering from that most incurable diseases called conceit.

I don't think the Wolfman is bad; he just can't slow down and rushes around too much. The
enemy is the person who damages you, even if he is a Seven of Diamonds.

Seahorse Panda (the stalker) is sending messages through the telepath weathervane. I don't know if this is cursed bad luck or an opportunity?

Individualism in capitalism thus has its limits. The irresponsible person might end up starving in the gutter. Under laissez-faire capitalism there were, of course, organizations (like the Salvation Army) who made it their business to offer help to such indigents, but only if they were willing to reform themselves at the same time. The "compassion" of leftist politics, of course, cannot allow such unfair judgmentalism to happen, so everyone is to be picked up out of the gutter and given whatever they need, by right. When they get the message about this, then it would be slavery to actually expect them to do anything to earn or deserve these benefits. They thus gain the right to be fundamentally irresponsibile, and fundamentally independent of any other person or any relationship of voluntary exchange or association -- even while the government is obliged to support them. This is even evident in feminism, where the very idea that women as mothers might be economically dependent on men provokes horror. Ironically, where Marx had said that capitalism turns even the family into a cash relationship, this is exactly what the modern Left wants -- wages from the government for housework, and such subsidies or support from the government that women can have children as "single mothers" and, with or without jobs, can live in a style equivalent to those married couples who support themselves and their children without subsidies. It is the duty of such married couples, of course, to pay sufficient taxes to support this right of financial independence in others. If the hardworking people resent all this, then they are damned by press, academia, and even pulpit as heartless, greedy, and self-centered.

The theory of the sexual dynamic of the psyche in Jung is conformable to the theory of male and female patterns of conversation in Deborah Tannen's best selling book You Just Don't Understand. Tannen, as a result of her own research, contends that men use conversation to establish status, or for "information," while women use conversation to establish closeness. This contrast seems to display the logos/eros functions, since information is rational while closeness is emotional. When a woman talks to a man about a problem she is having, they may speak at cross purposes. She may basically just want to be comforted and encouraged, while the man may think that she is seeking a solution that he can give to her quickly and then move on. Something similar is described by the pop psychologist John Gray in the popular Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus: When they have a problem, men go into a "cave," retreating from contact, to work things out. Women, on the other hand, seek contact. If men and women are aware that the other has a problem and, as Confucius says [note], use their own feelings as a guide, they will tend to treat the other in exactly the opposite way they want to be treated. Men with a problem will not want to be bothered; and, if they are bothered, it can only be because a succinct "solution" is being offered to their problem. But women will tend to bother them without a "solution," which the man will find very irritating. Similarly, a man may avoid a woman with a problem, thinking she would like to be left alone. If she then seeks contact, he may respond by abruptly telling her how to fix it and then going away again. Both Tannen and Gray, like Jung, expect that as each sex learns what the other seeks, they will, at the least, not insensibly work at cross-purposes.

It is the eighth year and the ninth month of the new millennium, the thirteenth since the Ice Age.

Location:
In the seventeenth century it took Samuel Pepys to say the the public house is the heart of ole England. Three hundred years later, the very heart of England is being ripped apart by the Corporation Horseman. Pubs are being rationalised, commercialized and turned into absurd charactures of the real thing. But the eccentricity of the British character still lives on from the last millennium, located in a forgotten watering hole at the end of the twitten, like a ship riding on the ocean of progress. Already the Black Riders are hovering.

The story/documentary is set in the above location.

Although in normal circumstances, the plot would be finalised from the end to the start, this story is an ongoing event, so the finish is not known. The text will contain morph-shifting gaps, so the reader has to follow the dialogue and then take in the landscape both at the same time.

It is traditional in the English pub that strangers are welcome. The sign over the bar says that the captain is always right, so when the guest has outstayed his welcome, he is asked to leave and is expected to do so. However, it is really the customers that run the pub (unlike the Corporation taverns) and they will leave of their own accord if the ambience and refreshments are not of the desired quality. And there are still remnants of archaic licensing laws and restrictions on allowed substances. Tobacco and pharmaceuticals are barred by law. The approved substance is called alcohol and served in various forms: beer, cider, wines, spirits (distilled liquor) etc. In the old days the landlord could be put in the stocks for serving poor ale.

All sorts of transactions are undertaken in public houses. In a good pub, is where you find the recommended plumber, electrician and jobbing builder. Or somebody to print the wedding invitations and fix the computer.

I mean you get all sorts, the petrolheads talking about their cars, the criminal bears playing hide and seek with the cops, the electric horsemen drinking out of the skulls of their latest victims, the catwoman let out of the bag. Jingleballicks offered to pay for a round of drinks, but it was after time had been called. The Watch were quelling the disturbance in the apartment block called Beirut.
