Excuse me, this is Horseshit (ESFJ). Turtle lore (> ENTP) says we do not want our head kicked in or our shell caved in because you disagree.
Most likely you go your way and I'll go mine. To care is to murder. Death by kindness from an non-kindred spirit.
Stop trying to make people be just like you. Its an insult.
What do you reckon?

Ingénue
Typically, the ingenue is beautiful, gentle, sweet, virginal, and often naïve, in mental or emotional danger, or even physical danger, usually a target of The Cad; whom she may have mistaken for The Hero. Due to lack of independence, the ingenue usually lives with her father or a father figure (although in some rare cases she lives with a mother figure). The vamp is often a foil for the ingenue (or the damsel in distress, for that matter).

Fantastic
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fantastic
The fantastic genre can be subtly seen in works where the reader has a sense of confusion about the work and whether or not the described phenomenon was real. Todorov states that this genre never solely encompasses a novel as the ending always drives the hesitation towards one of two decisions which he titles as the uncanny or the marvelous. The uncanny, wherein the phenomenon turns out to have a rational explanation such as in the Gothic works of Ann Radcliffe; or the marvelous, where there truly is a supernatural explanation for the phenomenon:
The fantastic requires the fulfillment of three conditions. First, the text must oblige the reader to consider the world of the characters as a world of living persons and to hesitate between a natural or supernatural explanation of the events described. Second, this hesitation may also be experienced by a character; thus the reader's role is so to speak entrusted to a character, and at the same time the hesitation is represented, it becomes one of the themes of the work -- in the case of naive reading, the actual reader identifies himself with the character. Third, the reader must adopt a certain attitude with regard to the text: he will reject allegorical as well as "poetic" interpretations.
Relative Genres
There is no truly typical "fantastic story", as the term generally discusses works of the horror or gothic genre. But two representative stories might be:
Algernon Blackwood's story "The Willows", where two men traveling down the Danube River are beset by an eerie feeling of malice and several improbable setbacks in their trip; the question that pervades the story is whether they are falling prey to the wilderness and their own imaginations, or if there really is something horrific out to get them.
Edgar Allan Poe's story "The Black Cat," where a murderer is haunted by a black cat; but is it revenge from beyond the grave, or just a cat?

Figurative Language
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
(Redirected from Figurative language)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Figurative_language
Literal and figurative language is a distinction in traditional systems for analyzing language. Literal language refers to words that do not deviate from their defined meaning. Figurative language refers to words, and groups of words, that exaggerate or alter the usual meanings of the component words. Figurative language may involve analogy to similar concepts or other contexts, and may involve exaggerations. These alterations result in figures of speech.
Details and examples
In traditional analysis, words in literal expressions denote what they mean according to common or dictionary usage, while the words in figurative expressions connote—they add layers of meaning. To convert an utterance into meaning, the human mind requires a cognitive framework, made up of memories of all the possible meanings that might be available to apply to the particular words in their context. This set of memories will give prominence to the most common or literal meanings, but also suggest reasons for attributing different meanings, e.g., the reader understands that the author intended it to mean something different.
For example, the sentence, "The Ground is thirsty", is partly figurative. "Ground" has a literal meaning, but the ground is not alive and therefore neither needs to drink nor feels thirst.

Home Education College Profiles (via Jobsite)
You have an organised and logical turn of mind and will probably be happier to work behind the scenes rather than directly with customers or clients of a business. You probably prefer to have a defined set of tasks to complete and a timetable in which to complete them and you may well thrive on meeting deadlines! On the down side, you may find that dealing with other peoples’ problems or emotions a bit trying so it would suit you better to steer away from a job where you had to deal with these sorts of challenges. You probably enjoy making things work and understanding how they work so dealing with technical issues will probably give you an interesting challenge.
The courses that you could consider taking are: Sage Computerised Book-Keeping, Sage Payroll, Practical Book-Keeping, Chartered Insurance Institute Certificate in Financial Administration, or one of the computing courses for example CompTIA A+, CompTIA network +, Microsoft Desktop Support Technician or Computer Programming Visual basic.net.
Social Person
You will be ideally suited to a career where keeping customers happy is important to you. They also show that you have good organizational skills so you will be a useful member of a team where systems and processes are in place, although you won’t be the most organised person there! It is unlikely that you will be happy working exclusively with technology, although you will be happy to use it to get the job done. Working with your instinct will come easily to you and talking things over with friends and colleagues is also important for you.
You could consider career options where the focus is on working with other people, so the courses that will work best for you are: Professional Development Courses such as Personnel Skills or Life coaching. The Chartered Institute of Marketing Certificate blends commercial and creative skills with a focus on the customer. Alternatively our social care courses develop skills in understanding how people work to make you even more effective at working with other people. Our introduction to counselling, child day care, child psychology, criminology or psychology courses would all fit your preferred style.

Organiser
Your preference for organisation will make you a really valuable member of any team where systems and processes are important. Because you like to have time to deal with problems thoroughly, deadlines may give you cause for concern, but, as long as you have enough time to deal with your work, you will feel more comfortable.
If your focus is more around organizing others then a career in management might be for you – consider our business courses to take the first step e.g. business management, business essentials, and business communications. If you would like to work in a specialist area within a company, your preference to organising will make the following options ideal for you: Chartered Insurance Institute Certificate in Financial Administration, Chartered Institute of Marketing Certificate.
Entrepreneur
Being organised and having processes to follow is probably not too important to you, you are happy to be free spirit and go with your instincts and ideas. Your ideal job will be where you can be innovative and able to use your creativity to its best advantage.
You do not need to know how things work – just what they can do for you, so whilst you are probably happy to use computers and technology, they are not the most important parts of your life!
The Home Learning College courses that will suit you best are: Professional Development Courses, Business and Travel courses, and Microsoft Office. If you also enjoy working creatively you could also consider Adobe Dreamweaver with a view to working with websites.

Deliberate Gentle Love Dreamer (DGLD)
http://www.okcupid.com/personality?type=DGLD&g=2&o=1
Romantic, hopeful, and composed. You are the Sonnet. Get it? Composed?
Sonnets want Love and have high ideals about it. They’re conscientious people, caring & careful. You yourself have deep convictions, and you devote a lot of thought to romance and what it should be. This will frighten away most potential mates, but that’s okay, because you’re very choosy with your affections anyway. You’d absolutely refuse to date someone dumber than you, for instance.
Lovers who share your idealized perspective, or who are at least willing to totally throw themselves into a relationship, will be very, very happy with you. And you with them. You’re already selfless and compassionate, and with the right partner, there’s no doubt you can be sensual, even adventurously so.
You probably have lots of female friends, and they have a special soft spot for you. Babies do, too, at the tippy-top of their baby skulls.

Poison Control
©2010 Gail Pursell Elliott
Extract for Review Purposes
Poison control centers are valuable for providing good information about substances that can damage us physically. Wouldn't it be great if there were poison control centers that could help us with emotional or spiritual damage in similar ways? When my children were little the local center in our community offered Mr. Yuck stickers to put on anything that was a hands off item. People and situations don't come with Mr. Yuck stickers of course but I can think of a few in my life that should have had them and I'll bet you can too. I'm also sure that there are a few people I've encountered who'd like to give me one. Fortunately, we cannot assign poison control stickers to other human beings! . Someone who is poison to one person may not be to another, rather like various allergies which in some cases can be as fatal as a poison.

Five Types (Profiling)
Contender
As a Contender, you're likely to believe at times it is necessary for work to come before the family, with the knowledge that the family will benefit in the long run from your success.
You believe that in a world of opportunities, the strongest thrive. Fortunately, you're a person that makes things happen. You're able to set goals and focus on achieving them, not afraid to make difficult decisions or take risks. The last thing you want is a dead end job, you want to move on up and be rewarded for your efforts and ability.
Balancer
As a Balancer, you want to carefully and passionately manage your time to get the most out of your life. You want to choose a job that interests you but still allows you to balance your career with your other priorities. You appreciate this flexibility in all areas of your life, interactions and work. The best type of organisation for you is one where people are treated as the most valuable asset. You enjoy the informality, friendliness and democracy. Most of all, work is a means to an exciting end for you.
Believer
As a Believer you believe the world has almost infinite possibilities. You believe people should be pursuing their passions and not be caught up by what others say they should desire. Your entire life involves continuously having new experiences and learning from them. It is the challenge, the risk, the prospect of what you can achieve that drives you, rather than simply making money. You're a self-motivated individual driven by your passion and so need a job and environment with loose boundaries and maximum freedom.
Supporter
As a Supporter, you're very much a family person and believe they should always come before work. For you there is more to life than work and want a job where you can turn up, get a good days' work done and then go home. You don't want the extra responsibility of decision-making either, you'd rather someone else in authority told you what to do and to what standard.
You believe rules and structures within life, particularly at work, are necessary to make sure everyone knows what they need to do. You're a 'safe pair of hands' and can be depended upon by your bosses.
Survivor
As a Survivor, you have a strong focus on getting what you want and getting it quickly. You believe in the survival of the fittest, where each person needs to do what it takes to thrive. You're not afraid of taking on physical challenges or risks either. When making decisions you don't waste time doing complicated calculations, you do it on instinct, on gut feeling. In terms of work, you're not really looking for a career, just a wage - you don't mind a hard day's work for a fair day's pay.

Inner World Recovery
Enhanced dream content seems to be a function of the inner self trying to deal with bullying/trauma under the conditions of Critical Stress where the stressors cause physical and psychological illness (UK medical philosophy definition).
As stress is caused by other people or your psychic-social conditions, good dreams are a sign of possible improvement? The Millon Map proposes an interior map of behaviour when really it is just a response to psychic-social conditions (i.e. superficial).
As I have not been given any advice I have not any exterior wisdom source of how to deal with such stress intrusions. I described the trauma from the very beginning as "Heaven and Hell", certainly an orchestrated plan of intimidation by the Other. In other words, some people said out with the deliberate and premeditated decision to intimidate and bully me for their own nefarious reasons. I call this the Dark Star or "Bulls riding on the back of a Pride of Lions".
The difficulty is trying to trying to adapt to (fit your character in with) the outside world. Then comes the political climate, the politicans as social controllers. The Community Centre (the dream was real) is the community and animals are located in various compass points of psychological type/political affiliation around the centre (will the centre hold after the fire?). The types are grouped according to their psychological character types, although some (Artisans) are adaptive camp switchers.
Then the elected politicians give the good jobs to their friends (similar characters) and bully the "welas" outsiders and call them all sorts of animal names.
I cannot cut a deal if they will not even speak to me.
None of the personality type assessments are more than a guide and they do not stand up to hawk-like scrutiny. They are just a map of the surface features. But if you want to get from Hyde Park Corner to London Zoo, you don't need a map of London geology.
The Community Centre (the dream was real) is the community and animals are located in various compass points of psychological type/political affiliation around the centre (will the centre hold after the fire?).
When the centre is lost "all purpose and direction is lost"
When the centre is lost in the circle, it cannot be found except by two lines crossing each other at right angles'.

Ziz
The Ziz is a giant griffin-like bird in Jewish mythology, said to be large enough to be able to block out the sun with its wingspan. It is considered a giant animal/monster corresponding to archetypal creatures. Rabbis have said that the Ziz is comparable to the Persian Simurgh. Behemoth, Leviathan and Ziz were traditionally a favorite decoration motif for rabbis living in Russia.

Nestling
Uh... okay, if you insist. I don't like how tactless they can be. I don't like how their desire not to be censored can make them cruel and emotionally dangerous. They care more about being free to act like jerks than about being sensitive to the needs of others. INTPs are tied with the ESTJs for the type that has caused me the most pain. We clash. Hard. They tend to succumb easily to intellectual arrogance and are impossible to argue with because they are frequently dismissive and closed-minded, accepting only certain kinds of information as valid regardless of the nature of the topic. This wouldn't be quite so problematic if they didn't like to argue so much. It seems to be something they do for fun, just to practice getting their minds into every little crevice of an idea. They are much too detail oriented, focusing on specifics when the general concept is actually more important, and will spend more time picking at and criticizing any imperfect details in an example or analogy than trying to understand the overall meaning of the broader expression. This leads to many arguments on linguistics that never get past the point of trying to define terms in a tedious, meticulous way, even if the original point being argued had nothing to do with how words are used and was supposed to be about something more interesting and important. They are impossible to satisfy. No matter what a person does right, or how brilliant an idea is, there will always be criticism for not doing better or taking it to the next step. There is no way for an INFP to please an INTP in order to achieve a feeling of security in the social relationship. There will always be a nagging feeling that nothing will ever be good enough and that all efforts are completely wasted. This means that eventually I will give up trying to please an INTP, and instead of breaking myself to pieces struggling for approval, I eventually learn to just avoid the person. With an INTP, I never end up with a sufficient level of security to feel safe being open and intimate about ideas and feelings, so any conversation is pointless. I need to feel safe in order to talk about my more complex ideas, and if I know that something I find interesting enough to share or speculate about will be cut apart with a scalpel, I would rather keep it to myself. I always end up feeling guarded with INTPs, even the ones I like. I don't know if I will ever be able to trust one not to hurt me, even if they don't always do it on purpose. |
This is the moralist version of the INFP.
F-type-"the nurturers"
FINP- "the moralist"- The SJ of the INFP universe, this subtype carries a very robust moral code and is not shy about expressing it.
The NP in the INTP reacts against it. This usually means the influence of the dreaded ESFJ. Suspend Judgement.
PS: The INTP does not feel safe because of the ESFJs. Your consultant should be the INFJ Skylark and your best match should be an ENTP, and your description does sound more like that of an ENTP. The INTP does not like security (prison) whereas the ENTP specifies the prison conditions (sometimes and often not). But the Phoenix version of the INTP accepts security.
Social Order of the Comanche
Comanche groups did not have a single acknowledged leader. Instead, a small number of generally recognized leaders acted as counsel and advisors to the group as a whole. These included the "peace chief," the members of the council, and the "war chief."
The peace chief was usually an older individual, who could bring his experience to the task of advising. There was no formal inauguration or election to the position, it was one of general consensus.
The council made decisions about where the band should hunt, whether they should war against their enemies, and whether to ally themselves with other bands. Any member could speak at council meetings, but the older men usually did most of the talking.
In times of war, the band selected a war chief. To be chosen for this position, a man had to prove he was a brave fighter. He also had to have the respect of all the other warriors in the band. While the band was at war, the war chief was in charge, and all the warriors had to obey him. After the conflict was over, however, the war chief's authority ended.
The Comanche men did most of the hunting and all of the fighting in the wars. They learned how to ride horses when they were young and were eager to prove themselves in battle. On the plains, Comanche women carried out the demanding tasks of cooking, skinning animals, setting up camp, rearing children, and transporting household goods.

Send Him Up
One trick with INTPs who get all arrogant. Do not take them too serriously when the bravado rears it's ugly head; don't take it personal. Simply laugh at them and mock them with good humor; call them on it. They step back, disarmed, quizzical, perchance a bit irritated, but in the end they come around and realize *Yes, I am acting like an ass*. |
This presents a problem in the feeding grounds "workplace" and at the watering holes "pubs, cafes" as E is necessary for social interaction and making a living and it spooks the ESFJ.
The INTP may have to morph-shift through the different functions, but must beware that some shifts lead to suicide. This is the operation of too much Introverted Thinking without the other functions.
The INTP needs to find a habitat without the Guardian predominance. They are likely to "Beat him Up".
This INTP has to be very careful to avoid the Rat XSFJ.

I'm having problems with my mother. She thinks I need to go on meds for being 'bipolar' Or whenever I have a 'down' day she's always.. "Well maybe you should take a wellbutrin (or prozac or etc.)" She's a pharmacist, as is my father, so they know their drugs pretty well. I keep explaining that part of being ME is that I need to have days that I just tune down. She's convinced something is wrong with me, though. I keep telling her when she gets on me about it but she always says something like "fine fine... I just think that.." And she'll detail something I screwed up and attribute it to my having a down day. How do I go about convincing my mother I do not need drugs to work right? Last time I was put on meds I had to have other meds to counteract those and I ended up on 7 different medications. Suffice to say, I'm cold turkey now and I love it. I'd hate to go back to being a medicated pill popping... zombie. Yes, so, Help? Also, any of you have this trouble before? |
The ISTJ savage the ENFPs, although chemists are often "cold shower" INTPs.
Strictly, according to Perseus, it is only INFJ - INTJ spectrum that can go "turkey", hot or cold.

Guard Dogs
Hi I'm married to an ISTJ husband and he is a wonderful guy. He is very organized, clean and helps me stay grounded and I bring out the 'fun' in him. The only thing is he is not that great with expressing himself and I'm always talking about my feelings and such with no reciprocation. Sometimes I feel like we have no passion as he isn't confident in being the 'hunter' sometimes. I always want to be out and about and feel like all he wants to do is chill. Sometimes I feel like we're just close 'friends' but I do adore him so much and think he's my hot boy. I feel like sometimes he doesn't 'sweep me off my feet' with words or actions like others have or try with me. I have to be sad for him to go out and do something sweet for me. He expresses his love by acts of service at home but that's not too important to me. I wouldn't betray him because he is such a loyal person yet I feel lonely sometimes. I know this is the ENFP in me but I don't know what to do. help?? We've only been married 15 months and I'm so confused. |
This is the great problem the INTP has with their natural mate the ENFP, there are always ISTJ Dogs around, from savage Hounds to dutiful Retrievers. But to INTPs Dogs are often nasty horrid critters, worse because they are so dogged. ST Dogs are a Dictator category. They are meant to obey and be obeyed. The stick does not help (in theory: it might make them contrary - not sure ????)
The ENTP Snake is faced with a whole pack of vengeful baying dogs. Best to attack just in case the Snake flies away like an Eagle (INTP).

http://personalitycafe.com/entp-forum-visionaries/16032-why-entps-can-seem-introverted.html#post314722 I've heard this mentioned a lot. That ENTP's are the most introverted-like of the extroverts. It makes sense to me personally, I used to somewhat identify as an INTJ (especially when I was younger). So why is this the case - can anyone explain why the ENTP is like this? Or share personal experience, to testify to it? |
It is because the abundant crazy ESFJs are spooked by ENTPs of the same gender. The usual thing is rise above to INTP, but sometimes the intimidation alters the judgement to INTJ. This happens more in schools and hierarchical organisations.

Fear, to Control Others
Niccolò Machiavelli's The Prince
Believing that people were motivated by self-interest, Niccolò Machiavelli wrote The Prince in 1513 as advice for the leadership of Florence, Italy.[5] Machiavelli recommended that leaders use fear—but not hatred—to maintain control.

Necessity of power
The authors also emphasize the necessity of power (social, economic, and political power) to stigmatize. While the role of power is clear in some situations, in others it can become masked as the power differences are so stark.

Idiot Wind
"You'll never know the hurt I suffered nor the pain I rise above, And I'll never know the same about you, your holiness or your kind of love, And it makes me feel so sorry. Idiot wind, blowing through the buttons of our coats, Blowing through the letters that we wrote. Idiot wind, blowing through the dust upon our shelves, We're idiots, babe. It's a wonder we can even feed ourselves." Similar 'codes' |
Sounds to me the INTP Dylan x INFP
NF Idealists can behave like idiots. That is if they use Feeling as their prime mode. Trouble occurs if they suppress Intuition.
The problem is their Guardians SJ as far as everyone else is concerned.

Peregrine (Perry Grins)
@Perseus So you mean, brain-boosting activities, foods, etc.? A speedy INTP is equivalent to an INTJ? Swiftness in actions (whether mental or physical) should not be considered as one distinct characteristics when comparing P&J, I think. I guess it's irrelevant though I don't have sufficient knowledge to support this claim. Posted via Mobile Device |
Less of the boozing, perhaps? But the shy INTP is helped by alcohol. Turns into an ENTP and spooks the ESFJ.
Does not rise so high on the Thermals
Eagle INTP flies north over the tundra and becomes smaller in status INTJ, flies nearer to the ground in the desert and although still sharp, he is not so far seeing, more opportunist and somewhat diminished and bewildered (wilderness).
Meta-narrative
In critical theory, and particularly postmodernism, a metanarrative (from meta-narrative, sometimes also known as a master- or grand narrative) is an abstract idea that is thought to be a comprehensive explanation of historical experience or knowledge. According to John Stephens it "is a global or totalizing cultural narrative schema which orders and explains knowledge and experience".[1] The prefix metameans "beyond" and is here used to mean "about", and a narrative is a story. Therefore, a metanarrative is a story about a story, encompassing and explaining other 'little stories' within totalizing schemes.
