Recovery Mode + Bullying is Institutionalised (& Navigation)

As I think I explained before, I have actually recovered from the original bullying episode, by getting out of the toxic zone. My neighbour is still extremely toxic and may have been contributory to the original incident. Alas, the poison is still in the air: deliberate maligning by the original bully (actually a Camelhead ESFJ variant). Truth does not matter at all: the Earthlings (Sensors) believe what they want to hear and disregard the rest.

I just forget it all and move on, with the Ghosts still tracking me for good or bad, but mostly uncertainty.

However, as I expect others know, he recovery mode is like being a vulnerable person. This would be helped by support. Alas, I am a very awkward personality type (all idealists/Rationals may fall into this group) and help and support from the Artisans (SP) and Guardians (SJ) is at best only a small part in the recovery. Even the Hawks (INTJ) are getting it wrong for me, not helped by my social clumsiness.

I think the most essential thing in recovery from trauma is being around with compatible people. Intuition is probably the usual guide, but my personality type needed help from the David Keirsey book. e.g. It is useful to know that Artisans are the original fools that rush in. As an Angel, I fear to tread. &/or Rationals do not approve of sexual promiscuity and are repelled by ignorant partners. But the Panda (ISTP variant) doesn't know this.

The books are for readers, for Rationals and Idealists, disdained by Artisans and probably not understood by Guardians. So the personality type study will not apply to those who think they already know better (e.g. Fauna in the Great Bear Cafe in John Steinbeck's "Sweet Thursday").

But Guardians know the value of money, support the institutions and can shock the Reds (Idealists and Rationals) with their stinginess, liable to trash people who are not upright and clean-cut, condemn the lovers, and their righteous may go as far as lying and cheating in the name of their cause or mission and ruthlessly intimidate the 'wrong' thinking Other. If the Other does not wear the Corporation T-shirt, he may be the best worker in the team, but may be condemned and ostracised by All, from the Wolfman (ENTJ) in charge to the Bully (ESTJ) underlings.

Bullying and intimidation can thus be seen to be institutionalised. The Watch only steps in when the law is broken and proof can be provided. As Terry Pratchett says, Dragons will fly around whilst the Watch are playing darts. The Corporation will cover up malpractices, and some powerful groups may seem to be above the law.

I keep missing the bus (opportunities) and it keeps me awake at night. I started this about four in the morning. But this is the nature of the Phoenix (XNXP) when my Social Scene has been disrupted seriously to the extent of Blue Murder, it needs to be repaired.

The moral of this tale, is to choose your parents, best friends at school, neighbours, mates (friends and partners), work colleagues, with great care. Of course, we do not do this. We get what fate dishes out. He was born east of the line on the wrong side of town.
